We are inviting applications for tenure-track faculty position (Assistant and Associate Professor level) for scientists that are working to develop innovative computational tools, methodology, and models to integrate large biomedical datasets across scales (multi-scale) or modalities (multi-omics).

The successful candidate will primarily work within a multidisciplinary team undertaking research focused on the impact of alternative nutrition management on AMR burden, transmission and trends in dairy cattle, as part of a BBSRC Canada IPAP funded project. The post holder will work with Dr. Renée Petri and project partners based at the Sherbrooke Research and Development Centre, Quebec, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, to understand dynamics in animal health, gut microbiome changes and antimicrobial resistance burden and transmission following a milk permeate feed intervention study of dairy cows in the transition period.

The Bioinformatics and Computational Science (BACS) Directorate works collaboratively and helps to fulfill the mission of Frederick National Laboratory in the areas of bioinformatics and computational science by developing and applying world-leading computing technologies to basic and applied biomedical research challenges, supporting critical operations, developing and delivering national data resources, and utilizing leading-edge software.

The Computational Biologist will participate in the analysis of sequencing data by developing, refining and adapting bioinformatics tools for a high-throughput processing pipeline. The successful applicant will be part of an exceptional multidisciplinary team developing and applying single cell multiomic methods to study evolution and disease transformation risk in follicular lymphoma (FL).
