Under the leadership of Dr Olivia Rossanese, we are seeking to appoint a Group Leader/ Team Leader to join The Division of Cancer Therapeutics to set up a group to lead the application of computational biology within the CTU to support and expand the oncology drug discovery portfolio and will also pursue their own oncology computational biology research aligned with the overall research strategy.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will have
· Excellent knowledge of computational science and its application to cancer drug discovery
· Good general knowledge of cancer and its biology
· Broad-based knowledge of translational research and the tools required for target validation

Department/Directorate Information:
The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) is making a significant investment in Computational Science with the appointment of three to four new Team Leaders. Posts will be either at Career Development Faculty or Career Faculty level*. Based at our Sutton Campus in new state-of-the art laboratories, the Centre for Cancer Drug Discovery building, post holders will have access to excellent established Data Science resources, including high performance computing facilities, secure large data storage, and robust governance infrastructure. Posts are available in the Centre for Evolution and Cancer (CEC), the ICR/RMH Integrated Pathology Unit (IPU) and the Division of Cancer Therapeutics.
