The successful candidate will work with the Machine Learning, Protein Sciences and Preclinical Discovery and Development groups at Generate to develop, analyze and apply protein design protocols toward specific design objectives, incorporating both existing and new methods and models.

The principal aim of the new theme is to integrate disparate, complex datasets within and across a range of chronic inflammatory diseases. We will consolidate our established strengths and existing data resources in, for example, single cell genomics, computational imaging and precision medicine while exploring how data from each source can inform and enrich the interpretation of the others. With this we seek to gain new insights into patient heterogeneity and clinical phenotypes, identify novel biomarkers and surrogate endpoints and overcome limitations of individual modalities such as scalability or generalisability.

The Karsan lab at Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre (GSC) are seeking a Research Programmer to join a Marathon of Hope Cancer Centre research project. The team will be working with other research programmers at the Karsan lab to perform data analysis on next-generation sequencing (NGS) data including but not limited to WGS, RNA-seq, targeted sequencing, scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, and Bisulfite-Seq, to study of clonal evolution of blood cancers and resistance to therapy. We seek candidates with strong analytical and programming skills to research, develop, and improve existing research pipelines.
