Job Summary:The Department of Computational Science and Engineering is seeking to hire tenured or tenure-track faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professors. The candidates must have a PhD in Computational Science and Engineering, Data Sciences, Computer Science, Computer and Electrical Engineering, or other related fields; candidates whose PhD is granted in a STEM discipline and whose research and background have strong computational components are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to Computational Data Science and Engineering disciplines and have strong research experience or research promise in the areas of computational data science and engineering; visualization, modeling, and optimization of large and complex systems. The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching graduate level courses, conducting independent and cutting edge research, student advising, mentoring and recruitment; curriculum development, providing service to the Department, College, and University, and other activities required for a successful academic career. Minimum Qualifications:- Ph.D. in Computational Science and Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a relevant field from an accredited program by the anticipated date of appointment. - Demonstrates a strong commitment to promoting and enhancing inclusiveness, collaboration and diversity in alignment with the University's commitment to maintaining and enhancing a diverse academic environment. - A passion for teaching, learning, and developing students - -Excellent oral and written communication skills.
