Our research laboratories has an internship within the Computational and Structural Chemistry group in South San Francisco, CA. We are interested in applying recent progress in computational chemistry, computational biology, and deep learning/AI to help advance the design of small molecules and biologics as medicines. The student will learn about how drug discovery works at our company, and about the science that happens in biopharma. The ideal student will have programming experience with Python as well as having successfully completed courses in organic chemistry and biochemistry. Applicants with previous research experience in the areas are highly preferred. Education: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, math, or relevant discipline. Candidates should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 Required Experience: Candidates must be available for a period of 10-12 continuous weeks, beginning June 2018.
