The Broad Institute Infectious Disease program seeks a talented Computational Scientist to work on various projects within the Hung Lab of Infectious Diseases.The scientist will work alongside researchers to analyze their datasets and produce meaningful relationships between small molecule perturbations and bacterial transcriptional signatures to deduce mechanisms of
actions of the molecules.This is a unique opportunity to engage incutting edgescience and make a central contribution to biomedical research. In addition the Broad Institute provides a vibrant research environment with close links to top academic and industry institutions across the Boston area and the world.

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with other researchers in the Hung Lab - including engineers scientists and clinicians - to develop and implement visualization and computational strategies for data analysis. In addition the person holding this position will be expected to provide guidance and mentorship to the more junior members of the team.

REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- A PhD in computational biology bioinformatics or a related field.
- A solid background in statistics familiarity with such platforms as R or Matlab.
- Excellent communication skills and compassion.
- Outstanding personal initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Expertise within Genetics or Genomics.
- Experience processing data from next-generation sequencing technologies.
- Experience mentoring trainees.
