The Brand lab is searching for a lab based Postdoctoral Scientist /Computational Biologist to generate and analyse data from single cell RNAseq and Targeted DamID analyses of neural stem cells and their progeny. Professor Andrea Brand's lab at the Gurdon Institute, University of Cambridge investigates stem cell proliferation and quiescence in the Drosophila and mouse brain. The ideal candidate should have completed a PhD in biological science (or related discipline) and have experience in bioinformatics. They should be proficient with R and Python and have experience with the analysis of High-Throughput sequencing data, including single cell RNAseq and ATACseq, and knowledge of statistics and the application of statistical methods for robust data analysis.
