As a Bioinformatics Software Support Specialist, you will become a deep subject matter expert while you interact with research scientists and associates. To them, you will be the face of the applications they use to accomplish research objectives. The Data Science Informatics (DSI) group is tasked with developing software solutions for the greater research organization within Corteva. Further, the Computational Genomics and Bioinformatic Systems (CGBS) group within DSI is focused on genomic data processing, storage, and retrieval. As part of this team, you will be making scientific advancements that will contribute to food security for all humanity. We are seeking a talented person to join us in this noble pursuit. Responsibilities: How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you! Production support of bioinformatics application for research personnel. This includes: Answering questions Resolving problems Conducting root cause analyses to identify issues through several sub-systems or micro-services Ensuring laboratory experiments meet their service level agreements Understand laboratory processes to help ensure software is meeting the correct needs Occasionally write code to fix bugs, automate reoccurring processes or maintenance activities Document issues in a tracking system Communicate regularly with team on issues discovered, progress made, and impediments encountered Technology You should be familiar with a few of these, and we will help you with the rest: Python/Bash/Java/C# HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Typescript Relational Databases SAMtools/Bowtie/BLAST Git/GitLab JIRA/Confluence Amazon Web Services – S3/EC2/CloudFormation/IAM/ECS/Batch CloudWatch/Sumo Logic/Datadog Qualifications · Requirements: What expertise have you grown?
