Description: A post-doc research position in Computational Biophysics shall soon be available at the Physics Dept. of the University of Trieste (Italy).
The research group is small but quite active, and includes physicists and biologists, who develop a computer simulation of clusters of tumor cells, which is based on a biochemical model of individual cells.
The ideal candidate should have obtained his/her degree in physics, mathematics or computer science, and have a good working knowledge of UNIX and C++. A basic knowledge of biology is desirable, but not necessary.
The contract shall cover one year and a half (with possible extensions) and the work period shall start in early 2012.
