A vacancy for a "Flowsim - DevOps Specialist (d/f/m)" for Scientific Computing has arisen within Airbus commercial Aircraft. You will join the Flight Physics Capabilities Department, a transnational team developing the New Generation Solutions.

About us 

As Flight Physics we are at the heart of aircraft design and deal as part of the engineering organisation with the key flight sciences.

Our range encompasses aerodynamic design and assessment, flight dynamics, loads and aeroelastic analysis and management as well as the evaluation of aircraft mass and performance. 

The Flight Physics Capabilities teams are in charge of developing and maintaining the simulation means needed for those wide variety of disciplines. In that mission, these teams play a central role in the on-going end-to-end digitalization of Airbus processes for aircraft design, manufacturing and services, while at the same time supporting the growth of the production and daily support to Customers services.

The Role

In your role as DevOps Specialist for Scientific Computing in the engineering expertise network you will contribute to the Software Architecture & Information System as well as to the Computational Simulation competence clusters.

Moreover, you will:

• Take responsibilities of a Senior support engineer

• Leverage deep operational experience in the DevOps context

• Exploit Hyperscale computing at Airbus

In addition as the Flight Physics capability specialist you will also:

• Need to collaborate towards joint architecture definition and development tasks

• Develop interfaces to systems engineering software components (REST API, etc.)

• Drive future scientific computing environment 

Required Skills

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

• Operational management of industrial-strength scientific computing software

• Knowledge of code versioning control (git), continuous integration and software testing tools.

• Linux, Expert Python programming, C, C++ is beneficial

• CFD Knowledge welcome
