The Department of Chemistry at Clemson University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in computational physical chemistry. Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Chemistry or a related field. The candidate will be expected to teach physical chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, advise MS and PhD students, and develop a well-funded, high-impact research program in computational physical chemistry. The position is expected to be filled at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 15, 2024.

Qualifications

A PhD degree in Chemistry or a related field is required. Candidates with a research background at the forefront of computational physical chemistry are encouraged to apply.

Examples of computational physical chemistry research areas include, but are not limited to, quantum chemistry, structure and dynamics of biomolecular complexes, and novel materials such as quantum materials.
