The Research Fellow (Postdoc) will join the project of POSEIDON: Predicting coastal breaking waves with advanced data-driven turbulence modelling.
She/he will be working together with Asst. Prof. Li Yuzhu Pearl on improving the turbulence models in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with machine learning for predicting the coastal and ocean engineering problems involving turbulence such as breaking waves.
Job Requirements
• Candidates with background in coastal and ocean engineering, especially with experience or knowledge in CFD modelling, breaking waves, and OpenFOAM are encouraged to apply. Some knowledge in machine learning is advantageous. Possess a PhD degree and research experience.
• Excellent written and spoken communications.
• Strong quantitative and writing skills are required.
• A good publication record is advantageous.
• Open to fixed-term project.
