Applications are invited for the above post to work with Jonathan Hirst in the School of Chemistry. The research project will focus on building a digital resource that allows researchers from across the globe to assess proposed chemical syntheses for their environmental impact, enabling scientists to adopt sustainable chemistry into all aspects of research and development. The project, funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering, will involve close collaboration with a range of synthetic chemists with a specific focus on green and sustainable chemistry.

Candidates should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in computational chemistry or a related area, and they should have a strong background in cheminformatics and/or machine learning.

The post is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term contract for 24 months. Job share arrangements may be considered.
