• theoretical modeling of excited states of fluorophores in condensed phases;
• ab-initio and non-adiabatic excited-state molecular dynamics;
• solid-state molecular modeling;
• development of quantum chemistry methods;
• machine learning approaches in photophysics, photochemistry and/or material science;
• multiscale materials modeling.

However, we will be happy to consider all applications where the researcher complements the competencies of our group and meets high scientific standards.

The Molecular Modeling Group is a newly established team with a research interest focusing on molecular modeling and quantum chemical calculations for organic photosensitive materials, biomolecule applications, rational design of fluorophores, and the influence of intermolecular interactions on photophysical properties and reactivity of molecules. The detailed informations can be found on the web page: https://www.chem.umk.pl/en/molmod/

The candidate is also expected to benefit from the University Centre of Excellence “Astrophysics and Astrochemistry”. The Centre was established on January 1, 2020 for 6 years as a result of the prestigious “research university” status granted to the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru? by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The Centre gathers key researchers from the University in the fields of astronomy and quantum chemistry. More information is available on our website:
