Job Description:
1.Qualifications:
1.1 Ph.D. researches are related to: theoretical and computational chemistry, computational materials science, computational physics, machine learning；
1.2 Achieve Ph.D. degree within 3 years; under the age of 35.
2.Duration: 3 years
3. Relevant remuneration
The total salary of postdoctoral staff during the employment period consists of basic annual salary, bonus and compensation. The total salary for outstanding performers is RMB 1,108,000, the total salary for excellent performers is RMB 908,000, and the total salary for qualified performers is RMB 708,000.
(1) Annual basic salary: RMB 236,000, which will be paid monthly;
(2) Bonus and compensation: it will be paid annually according to the performance evaluation results. During the employment period (3 years), the total amount of bonus and compensation for outstanding performers is RMB 400,000, and the total amount of bonus and compensation for excellent performers is RMB 200,000;
(3) A monthly rental subsidy of RMB 1,000;
(4) Social insurance and provident fund.
Introduction to PI:
Prof. Xian-Kai Chen will join the Soochow University in China in the early of 2023. Before this, he was an Assistant Professor in the City University of Hong Kong since September 2021. In 2015, he earned his Ph.D. degree from Jilin University (JLU). Then he moved to King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow during 2015-2016. He then moved to Georgia Institute of Technology, and worked as a Posdoctoral Fellow and Research Scientist from 2017 to 2020. In January 2021, he moved to Kyushu University as a Research Associate Professor.
His research interests include multi-scale simulations of organic semiconductor materials via combinations of quantum-chemistry approaches, condensed-matter physical models, and molecular dynamics simulations. His goal is to determine the nature of the physico-chemical mechanisms in organic molecular systems leading, for instance, to: strong luminescence or photovoltaic response, or efficient charge transport behavior.
