What you will do: Lead the development and delivery of new data science value in the fields of agronomic and environmental science Accountable for the pipeline and lifecycle management of computational science assets and capabilities, enabling the creation of value for customers and employees through the application of practical and trusted data science Create a collaborative environment to attract, motivate, retain and develop top computational science talent People coaching, development and fostering cross functional collaborative working with the different campuses, disciplines and perspective within our diverse Digital team Establish and execute computational science pipeline and lifecycle management processes to optimize resources and accelerate value realization Develop and communicate the computational science agenda to the organization; your team, peers, senior leaders and external stakeholders including growers Support our IP strategy within the field of Computational Science; understand the landscape, pace of technology and strategic value of computational science. Operationalize our data and computational governance processes across Digital and the wider Nutrien Ag Solutions organization Budget management and people resource management Build, lead and manage our computational science team both in Champaign and HighRiver, AL (Canada) while being based out of Champaign, IL What you will bring: 10+ years people management, team leadership (10+ people) within a technical field, ideally computational science. PhD or Master’s in computational science related area Cross functional program management – leading teams without line management accountability Science strategy and plan development Extensive Digital comprehension, focused on data analytics, data management and computational techniques Understanding of modern digital development processes, organizations, governance and mindset Excellent communication skills; particularly adept at explaining complex concepts in easily digestible and relatable ways to maximize impact with numerous diverse stakeholders and team member Are you a good match?
