Leverage your experience and creativity to push the boundaries in NCE Drug Design. Actively shape the digitalization of drug design to assure long-term profitability of a globally leading and family-owned pharmaceutical company. As Senior Drug Discovery Expert, you combine a strong pharma industry background with scientific expertise in computational chemistry. You are a creative driver of change, always striving towards the implementation of digital initiatives. As Director of Computational Chemistry within Discovery Research Germany in Biberach, you lead a group of about 20 scientists actively contributing to the discovery of breakthrough therapies that ultimately improve the quality of human life. Tasks & responsibilities As our new Head of Group you lead and develop our Computational Chemistry area, providing scientific and strategic direction and growth to our people. As an expert in the field you drive the digitalization of NCE drug design together with key partners from other functions and sites all across the globe. You ensure timely state-of-the art support of research projects with computational chemistry methods Being a leader you guide, coach and grow others in their development of functional skills and personal competencies to achieve current and future goals. You act as a role model in promoting Team Science and contributing to the development of others outside of direct reporting lines With your networking and collaboration skills you interact efficiently within the global BI community and external partners to ensure sustainable success. Requirements PhD in Natural Sciences or related disciplines with several years of leadership experience in Computational Chemistry or related fields in the pharmaceutical industry. Proven track record in small molecule drug discovery Results oriented and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills Ability to lead, encourage and grow a team with intercultural competencies Sound track record of collaboration with scientific experts in their fields EFFECTS OF COVID-19 We will continue to hire talented people and we look forward to receiving your applications.
