Job Description The Cardiac Proteomics Group at Department of Biomedical Sciences Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences University of Copenhagen wishes to appoint a talented PhD fellow and/or postdoctoral fellow for a joint proteomics and transcriptomics project investigating the temporal and spatial underpinnings of cardiac disease.The candidate will analyze spatial transcriptomics and spatial proteomics data acquired at defined temporal disease points.

A postdoctoral position is available in the Data-driven biology group of Dr. Owen Rackham at the University of Southampton. The Rackham lab focuses on analysing transcriptomic and epigenetic data in order to understand cell fate control during development, differentiation and disease. The Computational Biologist participates in developing, improving and maintaining bioinformatics tools for high-throughput processing pipelines. The Computational Biologist specifies, implements, tests and maintains bioinformatics computer applications and systems, and participates in the code walk-throughs and design and review of bioinformatics software solutions.

The Computational Biologist will participate in the analysis of sequencing data by developing, refining and adapting bioinformatics tools for a high-throughput processing pipeline. The Computational Biologist will also participate in the development and maintenance of the production databases, which provide tracking of all of the laboratory and bioinformatics analysis pipelines at the GSC. Additionally, the Computational Biologist will assist in the packaging and distribution of developed tools and analysis results to the scientific community, and will be contributing to the preparation of scientific publications.
