Description: The Department of Chemistry at UC Davis seeks to fill two tenure‐track professorial positions in the area of Theoretical Chemistry. Candidates must possess a PhD or equivalent degree in chemistry or a related field, and demonstrate the interest and ability to achieve an outstanding record in the areas of scientific creativity and productivity, teaching, and professional activity. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an extramurally‐funded research program, teach undergraduate and graduate students, and provide service to the university and professional communities. Candidates will be evaluated based on their record of research productivity, research plan, teaching record, and teaching statement. Candidates from all fields of theoretical chemistry are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to those who work on methods development and link chemistry with related fields such as biology, condensed matter physics, materials science and chemical engineering.
